    Hello from Wisconsin

    Hello,
Just joined. I'm a long time hiker/backpacker but new to canyoneering. I've hiked and paddled the heck out of my home state, Wisconsin. I've also hiked quite a bit outside the area, too, including most of the John Muir Trail. I've got one segment left to finish which I'm planning to do this August. I've done some caving down in Kentucky, but only a few times. My passion lies in the Grand Canyon. Together with my wife, we've hiked every rim to river trail on the South Rim and all but about four miles of the Tonto trail. Next week we're headed out to the Marble Canyon area to do our first canyoneering/rappelling trip (with a pack raft, too!).

Cayoneering looks to me like some of the coolest adventuring I've seen. I'm pretty excited to try it out and I think I'm really going to dig it. Apologies in advance if I ask a bunch of noob questions, just trying to be safe and get as educated as I can.

This is a great site! I've already learned a ton from it.
