    Nectariveorous species have such interesting anatomy. That little guy above, the "tube-lipped nectar" bat, has a 3.4 inch tongue that from what I understand wraps around the skull and attaches close to the sternum. The tongue is 150% the size of its body length.

    Bats and other pollinators are so interesting. Friends have spent their entire careers trying to map out the lifecycle of these species. They are so important to the ecology of just about every plant and therefor animal on the planet. Always amazed at how much we don't know

    That particular link was coded to be a full screen video. I clicked the youtube logo to view it on the regular mode then grabbed the url there.
