    The data and graph shown actually seem promising. Every major other than the last four is roughly at the national average or below. The bottom 15 actually have unemployment rates half, or less, the historic national average, and 25% of the current average. Analysis still shows that just an undergraduate degree leads to an average increase in a million dollars of lifetime earning.

    A degree is still said to be valuable by most experts. What is changing is the cost/benefit ratio. The data hidden by this chart is the relative debt load of these students compared to their non-degreed counterparts. Not sure if that data has even been collected. Many students are graduating with increasingly progressive debt which directly affects the value of their lifetime earning potential. Hopefully the new student loan laws will prevent the sort of predatory lending we saw from the private industry and see a slowing of the lifetime interest rates of student loans.

    Interesting chart. Basically almost any kind of specialized engineering field will keep you employed almost all the time (mining/geological engineering ). Wasn't surprised to see pharmacology and nursing doing well either.
    It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
