Hotel Mesa
There is a small part of the Uncomphagre Uplift, lying south of the Colorado River and east of the Dolores River that is part of Utah. IMHO it resembles Arizona Strip. It has no paved road connection to the rest of Utah and it is more ore less uninhabited.
Visting this out-of-the-way part of the country is not that difficult as long as Dolores River has a not-to-high discharge. A ford connects Entrada Bluffs Road with the eastern bank of the Dolores River.
And the is a view:
Roberts Mesa near Dewey Bridge
Down to the river
Dolores River at a moderate level
Fording is not difficult
Climbing up to Hotel Mesa reveals the old Dolores River rincon.
The rim to the north has good views down to the river confluence.

Dolores Triangle? Ok, have to mention this name in my Trip Report! Thanks! You local guys do know a lot more about place names than a German knows even after visiting southeastern Utah for 25 Years. But I`m still willing to learn.
We did that trip through Glade Park years ago ended up above the western end of Westwater Canyon. But from Moab this is quite a long way to go!
