Current Misery Conditions
Since the narrows are currently closed, we're probably not going to be able to Mystery Canyon on April 30th as planned.
As for our back up, we've decided to do Fat Man's Misery instead. Wondering if anyone has done Misery recently and if bringing along wet suits will be worth it. Seems like most people do without them in warmer temperatures. Weather forecast says its supposed to be in the 80's.

Has been hot recently, coolish today though. Misery is no so much fun when it is super-hot out, lots of exposed hiking in the sun.

I did it at the beginning of April in colder weather (50s and 60s). The wetsuits were much appreciated. But yeah, that hike out has got to be brutal in the heat. If you are cold going through the canyon on a hot day, you'll quickly warm up on the hike out...

If doing Misery on a hot day I just hang out in Parunaweap and time my hike out so I hit the car just before dark. Just make sure you pack a headlamp in case you mess up.
