Moab Poison Spider parking lot
I like to stay at Poison Spider for one night only. Is that ok?
Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure it's a day use only area. I know you can't camp along the trail.

Thanks a lot Randy.
That's a pity.
...so back to Sands Flat.
Did you know the best time to photograph Gold Bar Arch?
Thanks again.

Here's a little map that can help you figure out where you can and can't camp around Moab: http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/moab/...an_i_camp.html
The Poison Spider trailhead definitely falls in the designated sites only section (the whole Colorado River corridor does).
I can't help you with the Gold Bar Arch, though.

Likewise, I downloaded that map myself. Thanks.
I can remember camping at Big Bend in the early '70's. We were the only tent in the area. Nobody was camping anywhere along the river when we were there and nobody was hiking in the canyons. Have to take a number now.Conrad
