    Cherry Canyon

Did this hike last Monday with Andy and his nephew, Bo,Tyler and myself.
A pretty steep climb of 1300' kicked my butt, once in the canyon it was all fun.
We improved several of the natural anchors and I lost track of the number of rappels, I'd guess 12-14, it was one right after the other. Fun canyon, but soon will be out of season.

Most the fossil's we saw were around the first rap, if I recall, that's where that picture was taken.

Looks awesome! Why is the season over soon? I figured the Virgin River Gorge would be accessible most of the year? This may be in ignorance, though, as I've only been through there a couple times.

Like Tom said. That approach would be horrible when the temps start hitting triple digits.

    Nice shots! Yummy lookin' limestone.

And...a great, low profile, low impact, reusable, bolted anchor! Sweet!

    Thanks Brian

Cliff, the approach is fairly steep and up 1300', will definitely be too hot soon.
