The Great St Patty March
Why ski tour across Rabbit Ears Pass (Hogan Park Tr) to the ski area (approx 7-8 miles across) on the best party day of the year????? It's our annual tradition to keep some of the Steamboat riffraff from causing to much mayhem at the ski area. It's also my B-day. Who needs 2 excuses to drink!
So off we went, not the youngest crew but we do know how to party! A wee bit of whisky, some Guinness Stout, various beer flavors, and the occasional Irish Car Bomb were consumed as we crossed the pass.
I'll start the pictures off with the B-day boy. Some great people born on this day eh Acca?? Happy b-day brother!!

Hopefully I didn't offend anyone or this site, by insinuating this was a pure drunken ski tour. This is a legitimate ski tour across Rabbit Ears Pass at aprox 10,000' + ft of elevation. From the pass parking lot, to the bottom of the ski area, is over 11 miles with at least 3600' vertical to ski down. Everyone skied across safely and skied down without incident.
This is a tradition on St Pat's. So the pictures may convey a somewhat party atmosphere. And I will admit that's what makes it a whole lot of fun. Did we have some St Patty's cheer? OH Yeah! Did anyone end up drunk? NO! At least not that I'm aware of. Well....Maybe later that night, but after the ski trip was over.
Anyway....That's my disclaimer.
