    Ever seen this mountain man?

This is an interesting story I came across. This guy is just wandering around bumming in people's cabins apparently. He could possibly be an outcast from the FLDS church. Has anyone from the southern Utah/Arizona border heard about this already? Interesting....

Hell yeah ...and breaking in and shooting up the place skills. And pooping in cookware skills. He's a real roll model.

Perhaps your limited NG skills have kept you numb and without ability. I'm sure my 13 year old can do better than you in mountain survival. Have you taken any of these Army courses? This guy has survived in the mountains for 4-5 years. Can you do it? Don't pull the Obama card on me, Don!

Mind you, I'm not advocating what this guy does (breaking in, etc), but his ability to survive in tough terrain is to be commended.

Any ability of this person to survive is lost on me due to his criminal behavior.

Yeah, seems like cheating if the ability to live off the land includes breaking in and robbing. Not really the kind of douchebag I'd commend.

Oh, unless maybe he was robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. Was he robin hood, or just a thief who lived in a tent?

And Brute, I really don't understand how Obama has anything to do with my disgust or your admiration of this thief.

I've built several cabins in this area(not sure if any of my customers were victims)

I've also spent a considerable amount of time wandering around this area. It would be extremely difficult to find someone who was familiar with the area and didn't want to be found.

But, criminals usually make a mistake leading to capture, I guess we'll see.

Kurt, every time I see this I think of the ride you took us on across Swain Creek. That was some rugged country with the odd cabin here and there.

That is indeed part of the area, up Orderville to Swains. And SOOO much more.

And if one has spent 4 years in there preparing for an attempt to be rooted out.......

I hope it turns out well, fear is causing many people to not use a huge chunk of real estate.

Also--while the focus is on "this" mountain man, I can tell you--he is not the only year round resident living in similar fashion, in this area.
