    Spring Trip Plans....

60 degrees in the Roost this weekend....

I have a feeling Spring is going to be wet and wild given the ridiculously warm winter we are having.

Anyways, preparation has begun on my April trip. Which weekend has yet to be finalized, but it looks like either the 18th - 22nd or the 25th - 29th. This year the theme will be "The Spur" and the itinerary is as follows:

One campsite near High Spur most likely and no intention of moving around.

    Arrive Wednesday afternoon/evening.
Thursday: Big Spring NW and Big Spring West
    Friday: Water Canyon
Saturday: Red Spur!!! (Super excited about this one)
Sunday: If we decide to stay that long, High Spur (Already done this, but still an awesome canyon)

3 of us going, should be a good trip.

    Who else has begun planning??

Fab Canyon Entrance - uh, I thought it was a little "forced". And it was me doing the forcing, so... Getting into it higher might be better. Ignoring it all together might be best.

Devils Canyon - I explored a lot of those interesting looking slots, and there's a few good sections of say, 100 feet, here and there. But it was not good enough to bother writing up. That spring out there is very alkaline. It had an unpleasant effect on my GI System.

April 21-22- 29 Mile Canyon aka Shinumo Wash. This will be my first canyon done out of Todd Martin's Grand Canyoneering book as well as my first multiple day canyon and packrafting experience. So stoked for this one!
