    Daniel's Summit

We just got back..spent the night at the Zermatt Resort, then went riding at 0700 this morning.

Not a ton of snow, but still a few sections with ~3' of powder that nobody has dared plow through, so we did.

We did have a little carnage with one in our group hitting a tree and decimating the front-end of her machine.

My partners were on the same hill as you that day. I would have been there with them (our post partner retreat fun) but I had other committments that I had to keep. I look forward to your photos.

Carnage! Gotta see that! I've heard it's a blast in that area.

I'll be snowmobiling up BCC this weekend. I'll have to take some photos and do a proper trip report too.

We spent Friday night at the Zermatt Resort (what a great place for a Winter retreat), then at 0700 on Saturday departed for the Daniels Summit Lodge. There were ~40 in our group, but were were the first snow machines on the mountain. Early morning temps were easily 12F and colder (thanks to the wind chill). It wasn't safe to have gloves off longer than a few seconds. I gladly gave my neoprene face mask to the wife, fired up the machines and up the mountain we went.

Sadly, there was hardly any powder on the mountain. Most trails and bowls were either cat-groomed or hard packed thanks to thousands of snow machines. The few spots of powder that did exist were less than 3' deep and pretty basic. It still surprised me that we had a few tip-overs and one tree collision..

A few photos of the wife and I:
