Mesquite, NV (Jan. 2012)
We had planned on doing a different ride, but opted to head further south for the better weather. It ended up being an excellent choice.

Acca is right, What a great choice it was and the ride on Sat. was even better than fridays ride.
We started with a touch of rain. Just enough to make the vision a little tough but in no time everybody was stripping of the jackets and having fun.
Rode all day and only when we got back to the trucks did the rain and wind open up on us.
I really liked the ride from the hill climbs all the way back.
We hit a big dry wash that was just amazing as we could open her up a little.
Great ride with some great guys.

@Garbanzo had a spectacular crash at the bottom of those hill climbs. Maybe he'll tell us about it.

I hit the whoops at the base of the climb in 3rd gear, full on. My front end came up too high, so I let the bike go. It flew approx 40 ft, and I flew about 15 feet and landed on my ass. I'm lucky it was sand or I would have broke my back. Both cheeks are bruised. The cheeks on my face hurt too, but that was from smiling all day!
I just dropped by to see what condition my condition is in.

Mesquite Ride Area
It was not a big area but lots of play time. The hill Climb is 36*53'23.33"N by 114*06'10.27"W on Google Earth.
A lot of the access ride was close to the Nevada/Arizona border.
We started from the parking area and headed east for a few then north by way of washes till we hit the Power Line rd and then went west.
Kinda a big loop that circled in on the Hill Climb area.
Then sorta south then east till we hit the big wash that heads to I-15 then west to parking area.

The parking area for the Mesquite ride
36*49'07.77"N
114*03'17.37"W
If you are coming from the North take 1st Mesquite exit and turn right then next right then right again.
It was an empty lot that is for sale. We had no problems with this but you may want to take one more right that leads to the actual field.
We did park on what is private property and who knows if the owner is cool or not.
It would suck to get back from a ride to find your rig impounded or something.

I just posted Garbanzo's tracks in a google map in the first post and below. I had my SPOT turned on, but it must not have been tracking very well on Saturday in my backpack.
