Shillelagh and Blarney
It was a day off and a perfect day for canyoneering. Seeing all of the Freezefest pictures has made me really want to get out, so I gathered up some of the crew and we headed down to the North Wash. We hit the Left (West) Fork of Shillelagh and the Left (West) Fork of Blarney. In summary, it was awesome, though I will say that I recommend the Right fork of Shillelagh over the left, right is cooler. Blarney was sick! Lots of fun downclimbs with some interesting rappels, with beautiful sculpted narrows. We hit some excellent light down there, but unfortunately my camera didn't pick it up. When Anthony gets his pictures taken care of, I'll post some of those up, too. Oh, and also, both canyons were entirely dry. That being said, here's some pictures:
