Weber River 01-13-12
Hit up the Weber with my dad and one of his buddies. It was the coldest water I believe I've ever fished in. The air temp at the first place we stopped at was 11 degrees. There was so much slush in the river it was hard to get a decent drift. Then, to make it more dificult my flies were completely iced over. Probably wouldn't have been able to hook a fish even if it took my fly. We went to a different part of the river that is in the sun all day. It was warmer but still in the 20's. Managed to hook up with a couple of fish when it got a little warmer. This was the first time I tried my new GoPro 2 out. Here's the video.

Pretty cool video! Nice to see you hooked into some, at least. Sucks to have to de-ice your gear every couple of casts though.

Yea, it does suck. I think next time I'll wait til around noon to hit the river. That way it has a little time to warm up. Either that or I'll just hit up Rockport to see if I can catch one of those tagged fish they put in there!
