    The purpose of the darwin awards is to recognize people who remove themselves form the gene pool contributing to the evolution and sustainability of the human race. Only #1 removed himself for the gene pool. All the others need to remove themselves from our gene pool or are species are doomed!

    Some of these are oldies but goodies. I heard about #10 years ago and it still makes me sick.

    I think the dude who got shot by his dog may qualify as a near miss for the "true" award.
