BST Orem Water Treatment to Dry Canyon - 12.27.11
Feeling the lethargy of Christmas inactivity and eating, I forced myself to go running this evening when I got home from work. Halfway to the trailhead I realized I forgot my headlamp, so I ended up just running it in the dark. It actually ended up being very good training for many activities that rely on strong ankle stability. With only the ambient light from the city, I relied more on feel than on sight to get down the trail. North slopes had some snow cover, requiring extra care on downhills. 3.05 miles in about 41 minutes. The just-above freezing temperature really helped. Sucks to get out in 15 degree January weather.
Sorry about the static image, I tried to embed the Google Map before but it refused to save my extent and basemap type. Will keep trying with that.
Just where is it I could find bear, beaver, and other critters worth cash money when skint?
