Alta 12.26.2011
Headed up to take advantage of Ski Free After Three today. Every once in a while there was a powder stash in the trees to be found (mostly off Patsy Marley), but it's basically packed groomers. While it lasted, the sun made things wonderfully warm. Nothing special, but it was nice to get four quick runs in for free.
Also, to accommodate the crowds, they're letting people on Albion for free (after three) through the holidays. The lift is a fixed double and is a little slower than Sunnyside, but people still sit in the big line for Sunnyside. Quite a bit less waiting on Albion, and it seems to be a secret. Lifties telling a few people at the back of the line, but other than that there is no sign to tell people.
Just where is it I could find bear, beaver, and other critters worth cash money when skint?
