So does it not follow the book? My guess is no, because the book is titled: The Hobbit, or there and back again. And the movie is titled: The Hobbit: An unexpected journey.

At least Peter Jackson is directing so it'll be awesome!!!

Oh, just looked it up on wikipedia and it's going to be a two part movie with the first being "An unexpected journey" and the second movie being "There and back again".

The two parts, titled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again,[6] are being filmed back to back and are in production in New Zealand; principal photography began on 21 March 2011.[7] They are scheduled to be released on 14 December 2012 and 13 December 2013, respectively.
