2011.10.15 - Coyote Buttes North

Having bad luck at the internet lottery ('the October-lottery'; having first won permits and then lost them again), I was very lucky when I won permits to the Coyote Buttes North area with the lottery at the BLM-office. A great opportunity was given to me again, this time being able to show that beautiful area to my parents. I have been travelling together with them the first part of my recent holiday in Utah, showing them the most beautiful things I've experienced in my earlier holidays. The Coyote Buttes area is part of my top-10, without the need or desire to start ranking more detailed ;-)

After arriving at the parking, we got our stuff and started hiking the wash. It was a beautiful day, and temperature was still oke in the morning. In the (early) afternoon temperatures rose though, and even on a mid-October day it was quite hot. I don

Glad you managed to get a walk up permit. I got lucky online, when mine turned out to be no good but another in our group's was. Looks like you had a beautiful sunny day. Nice Pics.

I liked him as well, he was beautiful and peaceful. It almost appeared as if he was studying me, just as I was studying him. Fantastic to have met him there!
And the color, he merged into the environment so beautifully, check the picture below.
