Looks like they made a lot of improvements to the still shots, gave it a higher quality lens, and added more field of view options for the video. Good thing I just bought the old one a couple months ago

That's awesome! ( insert sarcasm) especially since my gopro 1 was just delivered yesterday. I don't recall seeing anything about a second one on the market as of 4days ago. I feel cheated 4 days later same price for the new one as I paid for the older version.

Haven't been watching them, really, but just noticed the original Hero dropped like $75 on Amazon in the last 2 days... So is the new version worth that much more than the old? Should I jump on the old one before they're gone, or pay full price for the new?

I think I might use the 30 day money back guarantee option then turn around and get the new edition for the same price I spent 4 days ago.

It would be nice if you could contact them by phone rather than the only other option- email support.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO WIN:

1. Submit a photograph taken by you with a GoPro camera. We want to see that epic moment, the photo that you showed all your friends, that photo you could only get using a GoPro camera. No screen grabs, please. Photo must be captioned “I Love My GoPro!”

You may submit up to 5 photos total.

2. Submit a photo, scan or PDF of a creative work (drawing, collage, sculpture etc.) that demonstrates what is unique, inspiring, and/or awesome about GoPro’s products, fans, or the images they produce. Your creative work must depict a GoPro camera in some way, and be 100% original, created by you. Work must be captioned “I Love My GoPro!”

You may submit up to 5 creative entries total.

GoPro fans will vote and choose the top 50 entries (25 from each category) to advance to the finalist round. GoPro will select the winners from the finalists – one Grand Prize and 9 Runner Up winners will be awarded for each category.

I get mine in a few hours. never had a helmet cam before...
I tried to rig a regular cam to a helmet once and it fell off in the water in Fry Canyon and got ruined..
