RF Blarney/RF Leprechaun
RF of Blarney,
We started the hike about 12:30 with no clouds and sunny skies. This is totally different than when we did the LF two weeks ago. The canyon was nice and very pretty so lots of pictures were taken. All the anchors and webbing were in good shape and there wasn’t any water in the canyon. We were back at the truck at 3:30 and moved over to the Leprechaun trailhead and set up camp.
The next morning we hiked up to the RF of Leprechaun. This canyon had a lot of fun down climbs and some very narrow slots to go through or over. The webbing and anchors in the canyon were all in good shape so we didn’t need to replace any. There were a few potholes that had some water but we were able to keep from getting wet.
We did stop and see the dino tracks and if we hadn’t known they were there we would have just walked over them.
The down climb into the canyon bottom after the last rappel was a little steep for my wife so we rappelled all the way down. It took us 6hrs to complete with a lunch break and stopping for lots of pictures. A very fun canyon and a must do again.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Shane and I have been slowly working toward identifying the forks of these canyons by compass directions, rather than the ambiguous Left and Right. With the Middle Fork of Lep being called the "Middle Fork of Leprechaun".
So, looks like you did the East Fork of Lep and the East Fork of Blarney. Good on ya. I especially like not-sliding down into the unknown, but using the rope in East Lep. A smart decision.
Tom

Great photos. Glad you got the chance to complete the east forks! It was nice meeting you in person (I was the guy on the way out the previous day.)

It was nice meeting you and hearing in person the conditions of the west fork. It sounds like you had an adventurous week.
