    Current conditions in Imlay Canyon

Hello all. I am planning a trip through Imlay canyon October 12-13th. Just curious if anyone had been through recently and had some current info on water levels?

    Thanks in advance.

It rained heavily last week. Imlay is full. It is unlikely to drop much by the middle of October, but I would expect to need to hook out of 4-6 potholes.

Three of us descended Imlay sneak on Friday Sept 30 and Oct 1... we were too slow to make it a 1 day affair. Approached from the left variation. All anchors were in place. We bivied on the sand bar just before the exit narrows due to the hour... 4:30 pm. We had to hook 3 logs and 1 or 2 keepers to get out. Set up 2 guided rappels. The log on the second to last rap was jammed tight when we went through, not loose some have found.

    Have a good time.

Oh, I was thinking you were asking what were Current Conditions, which is easy - FLOWING HEAVILY. It's going to rain all day tomorrow, too.

Log for the 2nd to last rap might be gone with this rain. Parties advised to bring lots of webbing. With a wrench and hangers for 1/2" bolts might be able to put new hangers on the bolts that are still there.
