    Sardine Peak to Wheeler Canyon

We headed up Wednesday night and got just a light sprinkle on us in the Snowbasin area. We were thinking that would work pretty well for us to keep the dust down on the Sardine Peak trail, but it didn't. It's like it rained more dust.

Lance Armstrong will be riding this same trail on the Xterra competition, so we'd better head up there a couple more times to smooth out the horse poop for him.

Here's the route we took, right around 11 miles 1 way. We parked at the Lower Snowbasin Parking Lot then picked up down at the bottom of Wheeler Canyon.

Oh and check out what they did to the stairs. It's nice if you still want the challenge, and nice if you just want to make it up the stairs without hopping off.

Nice report...one loop I have found up there that you do not get much traffic on, is green pond to last chance, last chance to needles, needles to moonshine ..back to needles, elk horn to porcupine back to green pond...nice ride, entire loop is a no horse loop, and do not see many riders on this loop. check it out..ends up being about 12 miles worth of riding.
Nice pics and video....was that a wipe out...and you missed it?!
go get lost, it is good for the soul
