Burro Wash 5 September 2011

We went down and hit Burro Wash on Labor Day. The canyon was a blast! Water levels were pretty low, for the most part, only some wading up to the waist, and a lot of that avoidable if you were tricky. That was the case, except for in one spot where we had to swim, and that was awesome. I'd never been in this canyon, and I really enjoyed it and so did everyone else. It had a pretty good variety of a lot of things, and it was also beautiful. The bolt anchoring the first required rappel is getting a little shady, but we just backed it up on the first person down and it was fine. Overall, it was an awesome day. As has been the usual thing this summer, we barely beat the rain out of the canyon.
