Wedding Rock Petroglyphs, Cape Alava, Olympic National Park
This TR is a few months old just haven't gotten around to posting it. We took a trip along the Oregon/Washington coast the majority of out trip was spend in the Olympics, we did lots of hiking but this was by far the best hike. I had heard from a friend that there was a whale petroglyph out there, to my supprise there where over 40 different native drawings. We were lucky on weather and stayed dry the entire trip. I for sure want to go back, but take my time and camp at one of the designated sites along the beach and relax. I took a few pics of the maps and info. The hike round trip is 9 miles. Make sure you arrive at the wedding rocks when the tide is low or you will miss the majority of the petroglyphs.
