Devil's Causeway Flattops Wilderness Colorado
A friend of ours was in town for a few days with her teenage son. We decided that Devil's Causeway would be a great hike to take them on, especially with all the wildflowers out. I've always loved this hike, it gives you a bit of everything that's best about the high country.
This was one gorgeous day. Columbines, paintbrush, lupine etc. Plus a no nonsense "up" hike to the Causeway at 11'800 ft.
Sweet day!!!

Nice. It's one of the best hikes in the area and the kids love it too. Did you do the full loop?
When I did the loop with my six year old I made him sit down for any photos and wouldn't let him stand up when I wasn't right there with him.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

I don't just waltz across the rock pile either. I'm not 20 any more.
We didn't do the loop. We went up and had lunch and returned the same way. I couldn't resist glissading down the strip of snow on the edge of the bowl. We usually ski it in the spring.
All the pics. Great flower year!
