Coyote Buttes North
A HUGE shoutout to @jdgibney for the permits! This was my third time to Coyote Buttes North, first time exploring the area southwest of the Wave (Sandcove, Fatali Boneyard, Second Wave, etc) we spent way more time in this area than the wave. Although slightly less spectacular than the wave in this area there is soooo much more to see! We left Hurricane at 4 AM because of the forcast of heavy afternoon showers. We hiked in in cloudy but muggy conditions. When we arrived at the wave though the clouds opened up for just long enough to take some pictures. Then it was time to leave and the real dark clouds started moving in. Perfect hiking conditions for the hike out. As we were leaving and driving north on house rock valley road (HRVR) the heavy rain began. The washes quickly began flowing and I imagine Buckskin flashed pretty heavily because after we passed through the last one it really began to rain hard.
We also met one of the guides from the Paria Outpost (?) unlike other guides I have met he was pretty awesome, shared some cool places and ideas for future trips to the area!

Very nice! It is very pretty out in that area. Did you go up and over the top and down the other side? The view is stunning from the top.
Thanks for sharing. :-)Some people "go" through life and other people "grow" through life. -Robert Holden

Glad you got to make good use of the permits, and got some outstanding shots! I'm jealous you had clouds :)
Tentatively planning on hitting it up again in late November.....

I'm looking forward to checking out all of the places around the wave, since we didn't get to really see much in January :)
