Planning to be in Zion, Sept 26th-30th

    Hi,

I am about to book flights/rental car/etc, to attend a three day ZAC canyoneering course (Sept 23-25) in Springdale.

As I am travelling alone, so does anyone feel like joining in a few canyon descents the following Monday-Friday? Or is there an existing small group with room for a reasonably fit/sensible/easy-going British canyoneering newbie to tag along for a day or two?

Happy to stay in Zion, head across to Escalante, or wherever there are long narrow gaps in sandstone

I have done three hiking/backpacking trips to S Utah, (Zion/Bryce/GSENM/Capitol Reef) over the past two years, and now fancy something a bit more adventurous. I will mostly be camping, and after the end of the course, I have no definite plans... except the return flight from Vegas on October 1st.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

Bad form to reply to one's own post perhaps, but here's to say that flights/course/etc are now booked and confirmed. Off with a few friends to the local via ferrata in the French Jura tomorrow afternoon to do some local rock-clambering...

Greetings - so that means, you are looking for trips to join in the Sept 26 to Sept 30th timeframe, and will be starting in Zion, right?

That's about it, just need to be able to drive back to Vegas on Friday night Sept 30th, ready for a 8am flight on Saturday morning. And may I thank you for the use of your informative online guides (Zion/Escalante) for various past hiking trips in the region!
