Hi from Utah-loving Brit in Switzerland - and soon to be in Zion again...

    Hi,

Living in Geneva for the past twelve years, originally from Great Britain, hobbies include (motor)cycling, piano-playing, alpine skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.

Since 2009 three trips to Southern Utah, (hiking/backpacking lots of non-technical Zion, Bryce, GSENM and Capitol Reef backcountry canyon trails), have given me a taste for something a bit more demanding. I am now strongly considering a ten day trip (Sept 22 onwards), kicking off with a three day canyoneering course with ZAC in Springdale

This time I will be travelling alone (no friends/family has the unused vacation, budget, etc.), so will be looking to join groups for further slot canyon exploits later in the trip. Or I might chill out on the Boulder Mail Trail (again) or elsewhere in the GSENM for a few days instead

    Michael.

Welcome! I hope you have a great time in Utah.

Thanks for the intro! I would recommend also posting in the canyoneering section with your inquiry of partners during those days. Good luck!

    Thanks for the welcome.

I have posted something over in the canyoneering section, but I am pretty convinced to go anyway and see what happens.

And as far as having a great time in Utah, so far I've found it pretty hard *not* to
