Suggestions for moderate overnighter near SLC

One of my oldest buddies wants to go backpacking for his first time but he's not in great shape. We're looking to go this weekend and was hoping to get some suggestions on where we go for a 2 day/1 night trip with moderate terrain. Ideally the destination would be a lake so we can do some fishing, but beyond that just something within a 2-3hr drive of SLC.

lots of stuff off hwy 150 in the uintas meet the criteria. or you could do an easy lake in the wasatch, like red pine. fishing will be best in the uintas.
