Bear Lake to Soda Springs Idaho via the Highline Trail [07.30.11]
We'll be starting in Fish Haven, ID. Then riding up the canyon to the Highline Trail where we will take that for approx 65 miles to Soda Springs, ID where we will fuel up and head back. You can see from the map that some of this is pure single track and all of it is awesome!! http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_...rdb5176949.pdf
Things you would need:
- Fuel to make it about 80 miles?
- Able to ride a full day on technical trails
- Food, Water, etc
- Parts to fix yer bike if needed
- Big Kahunas...

If I'm going to drive all the way up there it'll need to be more than one day of riding. Any way to camp and do this ride one day and something else the next day? Looks like its all trail, no need for street legal right?
beefcake. BEEFCAKE!

I hope the snow is gone. 10 days ago you could not get out the top of the left fork of Fish Haven. That is not very high right there.

I cant move it sorry! I will be up there for a few days and it just works out. BTW...somebody on another site claims its 65 miles, which seems about right to me: http://www.motoutah.com/forum/9-ride...report-wphotos
The snow should be gone. I rode up there last Saturday and there are some drifts, but they should be gone I think and we can also ride over the top. I had previously ridden up there 10 days before that and I was surprised how much snow had been melted during that time to Saturday. If not we can go around on other trails and still make it to Soda Springs.
This is going to be an epic ride!
