Left Fork AKA the Subway
There are a few rules that I tend to live by 1st RULE: You do not talk about FIGHT CLUB.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about FIGHT CLUB
3rd RULE: No matter what when offered a permit to hike the Subway, take it!
We departed bright and early, and because we knew exactly where the parking/trailheads are (sorry Nick and Zion Bogley Fest crew ) we also started hiking very early. In fact we were the only car in both parking lots! After following the signs and staying on the right trail (once again sorry Nick and Zion Bogley Fest crew) we decended into the canyon fairly quickly and the fun began! (side note we heard a group behind us when we started the first technical section, this group somehow never caught us even though we goofed around quite a bit. While driving to pick up the second car we saw the SAR out and about with the helicopter and whole nine yards apparently that second group tried to jump the first rope section and someone broke or severely messed up their ankle )
All I can say about the Subway is WOW!!!! I have hiked it four times now but this is the first time as an adult, I guess I am considered one? Before it was fun but now it is beyond written description! The closest that description I can think of was written by Clarence Dutton initially of the John Wesley Powell Survey he said " "Nothing can exceed the wondrous beauty of Zion...in the nobility and beauty of the sculptures there is no comparison. There is an eloquence in their forms which stirs the
imagination with a singular power and kindles in the mind a glowing response."

Great pictures! And enjoyed the humorous commentary. Bummer about the need for SAR though, can't believe someone would jump off something like that.

Love the Bogley shirt pic. It might be the inspiration for a future Bogley contest.
