    Red Pine Trail and Lake

I hiked today with my boys (5 and 8). The trail is in good shape to the bridge up top. Some run off on the trail as you go up and a little mud in places.

There is a lot of snow above the bridge and you have to climb large drifts all the way to the lake. The lake itself is covered 80% with ice. The lake is at 9,640'.

Yeah I figured Red Pine was gonna be end of the month. Seeing it from the Bird on the 4th you could tell the upper section was still buried. Nice recon though, thanks for the info.

Last year in early June, going up to Red Pine I encountered a bunch of snow, after the bridge a ways up. Thanks for the heads up.
