Glacier National Park

I am joining a friend on her trip to a horse show July 17th that is just outside Glacier National Park.

Could anyone provide any Bogley insight to the area?

I am setup to do day hikes to multi-night backpacking.

Is there any good hiking/camping/backpacking in the surrounding national forests to (might have my dog with me)?

I will be there for over a week.

From what I have found so far they are still in snow lockdown for most of the backcountry.

try http://www.summitpost.org/. seem to have a lot of glacier info over there and i bet you will get some good, current info if you ask.
