Labor Day Weekend in the Elk Mountains | Saturday

This weekend I was supposed to head up into the Elk Mountains with Amanda, but she unfortunately got sick on Friday, so she stayed home this weekend. After driving to Marble and then on to Crysal, I met up with XJTodd and his wife from NAXJA and we setup camp just above Crystal. It was a nice little campsit, too.

After camp was setup we continued on down the trail towards Lead King Basin.

Lead King Basin is an amazing place.









After finishing the Lead King Basin Loop, we headed back towads Crystal.

Of course we stopped at the Lost Horse Mill





...and then made a quick stop in Crystal, too.



Next, we made our way up to Schofield Pass.

From Schofield Pass we headed down into Paradise Basin





Last, we took the short side trip up towards Gunsight Pass before heading into Crested Butte for some dinner.

After dinner in Crested Butte we took the long way back around to our campsite via Kebler Pass since it was dark out.
