Moab bike hike 4wd 00', Long Canyon & Gemini Bridges
Continued from Moab bike hike 4wd 00', Corona Arch
Driving up Long Canyon was a great follow up to that Corona Arch hike.
Long Canyon wasn't long enough so we kept heading west and drove all the way out to Mineral Bottom.
Heading East again we crossed pavement once more and ended up at Gemini Bridges.
This spur below these ledges to the bridges was closed not long ago.
Plenty of daylight left, We wound our way to Bull Canyon and checked out the bridges from below.
Since then this spur road to the bottom of the bridges was also recently closed.
Afterword we made our way out past the Gooney Bird and enjoyed evening views from the shelf road high above Hwy 191.
The last two photos from the trip taken just after sunset, had to be in driving distance from the Gemini Bridges trail during the sunset hour.
I'm pretty sure we made for home in the dark after those photos were taken.
I'm still amazed at how much we managed to squeeze in that day. Not that it is rare to participate in three or more completely different activities in one day around Moab, but this trip sure makes for some highly prized memories.
