    Tower Arch & More

    Saturday, May 10, 2008

This weekend we headed off to Arches National Park to do some exploring and hiking. Amanda's birthday was the previous week and she decided that she wanted to go here for her birthday trip.

We started out by taking the rough Jeep trail to Tower Arch.

Once you make it to the end of the trail, it's a short hike to see Tower Arch.

After heading back to the park's main road, we made a quick stop near Skyline Arch for a picture.

After having some lunch we headed out to hike the Broken Arch loop trail.

On the way, we took the short spur trail to check out Tapestry Arch.

Then we made our way over to Broken Arch, and went through.

Next we headed over and took the short hike to Sand Dune Arch, which was pretty cool. Unfortunately there were too many people there....so we didn't stick around very long. We will have to head back in the winter when there are less people :)

On our way out of the park we stopped by Balanced Rock

...and after heading to the Brewery for dinner, we relaxed at our campsite for the evening.
