Timpanogos North Summit 98'

It was the summer of 1998 and with Mount Timp on the to do list again I wanted to see something different on the mountain for a change. I Started the hike good and early one saturday morning from a crowded Timpooneke trailhead and upon reaching the crowded saddle I noticed the faint trail heading north from the saddle. The crowds were headed south for the main peak as usual so I decided to leave them all behind and go check out the North peak. The change of scenery and solitude that decision lead to made for one of my most memorable experiences on Mt. Timpanogos.

I can now identify the trailside Bluebells <, and Parry's Primrose >, but then didn't have a clue.

I didn't quite have it all to myself. Lunch time guests kept me company.






My 35mm SLR had a panorama switch. Here I decided to grin and bear going for the North Summit, hiking down to the ankle then back up to the top of the feet of the sleeping princess.
