Hiking Rocky Mtn National Park
We thought it would be a fun adventure to hike up to Mills Lake and Bear Lake in Estes Park, Colorado, but we found snow....a LOT of snow! The bases of the trails were about 4 feet deep. All we brought were some traction devices and no snowshoes. We made it up to the intersection between Mills Lake and Loch Lake and then we were forced to hike back down. We enjoyed lunch at Alberta Falls. Then we hiked over to Bear Lake for some photo ops. Overall, great day trip!
