Indian Paint Mines Park

Special thanks to "Unitahiker" for suggesting the Paint Mines, just outside of Colorado Springs in Calhan, Colorado. This is such a gem and well kept secret that you won't find in the special attractions advertisments for the Colorado Springs area.

It's comparable to a small Canyonlands in Colorado! Complete with spires, hoodoos, and all kinds of cool rock formations. Very few 'tourists' this time of year, and the colors were amazing.



We even found a geocache to top off today's hiking experience. Cache Title: "Perched Atop".
