Anyone ever used something like this?

If this worked well it would be a pretty lightweight filter. Also it is supposedly guaranteed for 1 million gallons.

Aside from the brand just seeming sketchy to me, it uses hollow fiber as the filtration technology. Hollow fiber, from what I understand, is just like tiny glass tubes. If the temperature drops below freezing with moisture in it or if you drop it hard, it will no longer effectively treat water and you won't know until you're puking your guts out. MSR also makes a hollow fiber pump that is really light and super fast but it seems too risky to me.

I would rather boil than take a chance with that filter.
