South Jordan urban fishery
For over a year now, I've driven past a side road just off 9800 South and about 5th West. The sign read "Urban Fishery". Yesterday the wife and I decided to see what was back there and were pleasantly surprised to find a fishing pond.
There were about 5 folks fishing and upon speaking with them they indicated the lake was full of trout and catfish.
Considering this is fed from the Jordan River, I was surprised to hear trout were in those waters.
Anybody try a bit of fishing there?2020 Jeep Gladiator (2" Lift, 37" Tires, Falcon 3.3 Shocks, Lockers, Sliders)

All of the community fishing ponds around the state are heavily stocked with planter rainbows and catfish. Many also have resident bluegill and bass populations as well. Give it a go and tell us how you do!

I live off 11400 south in South Jordan and drive by the ponds in the river bottom all the time. Boy are there always a ton of people fishing there. They must be doing pretty well.
