    The Squeeze (Seger's Hole)

Our group of seven went down to the Swell to hit the Squeeze on May 7th. It was awesome! Talked to a group who did it the day before in the morning (before we took off) and they informed us that we didn't have to take our wetsuits. We were all really glad that we took their advice when we hit the Moroni Slopes. The canyon was excellent! There were more bolts than I expected, but we bipassed several of the unnecessary ones, which made it a lot of fun. The group we talked to in the morning was right. There was hardly any water in there. Unavoidable wading up to the waist, but otherwise nothing to worry about. Overall it was an amazing canyon and I would definitely go back, though that mining claim shortcut sounds pretty amazing, because I personally think that the Moroni Slopes should be called Satan's Slopes. The canyon was worth the approach, though, and I would definitely go again. Here's just a few pictures. Credit for all of the pictures goes to our friend Anthony Dunster, who we can always trust to take awesome pictures.

Yeah, everyone was wearing helmets but me. I forgot it in the car when I took my wetsuit out of my backpack.

Cliff tried to go with the excuse that his head is hard enough as it is. Almost. As punishment we made him climb "Satan's Slopes" again and make a sacrifice to the Canyon gods for preserving his noggin. He then fashioned a new helmet from raw sandstone, sculpted with his own hands. Long live Cliff's head!
