San Rafael Desert Road

Anyone been out on the San Rafael Desert Road lately? Specifically from Green River down past Chaffin Ranch, Moonshine, Three Canyon, Keg Knoll, Horseshoe, etc? Any snow left on the ground in that area?

As of July 1, 2011 the San Rafael River is in flood, and it has washed out the road at the San Rafael River Bridge. The river is running over the road north of the bridge. It will probably be until late July or August before the road is passable. I have been down this road for twenty-five years, and never have seen the river this high -- it is filling and swamping the entire channel. This is a once in a generation flow, and rather interesting to see. But it also stopped me journey south....
