Gunlock Rock Art
Because I am jealous of the Moab Rock Art series of TR's I decided to find some petroglyphs and such near Hurricane. The first ones I visited were near Quail Creek Reservoir. Today I went to some near Gunlock. I didnt know today was the lake to lake marathon so just getting out there was a hassle trying to avoid runners but it turned out totally to be worth it. We found lots of pottery, chippings and some sweet petroglyphs. Including one that was a Blue Heron??
I would like to point out that march mustache madness has obviously begun!!!

Very nice, Matt. There is an alcove with some nice art out by Gunlock that I've been trying to find the beta on. I asked at the BLM but the lady said she won't give out the information. I found it on Google Earth but I don't think there was accurate Lat/Lon. Below is a link to some info for that area, as well as a Google Earth map. Look at the area marked "360" for a Pano from the "Naming Cave".
