Swinging Into The Driveway This Morning...

I glanced over at the pond and saw, what I thought was, a Caracara. Then I noticed it was eating a fish and as I continued to watch it, I was wondering where its toupee was Then it clicked and I was looking at a juvenile Bald Eagle At this time I was already grabbing for my idiot camera that always rides shotgun with me and took a few.
As I was shooting away, I noticed through the camera, the eagle suddenly looked up at something. Then out of the corner of my eye and into partial view of the camera, mama came swooping in to get the fish. Junior didn't let it happen

I have to replace this idiot one, getting a little old and on Sports Mode the pics are grainy, so I just use the Landscape one and that cause a wee bit a problems with movement.

The raptors are everywhere down here, I'm kind of lucky with that. When the heat turns on, they're not out as much...Wonder if they fly north for the summer

I have to get out soon with them. The idiot goes with me everywhere, always in the truck. The crap I see, I'm lucky I have something to document it But, I can justify an idiot camera flying off the seat in a heavy braking situation, but I cannot with the more costly ones

Missed this first time 'round. Cool shots, JP! The birds in FL (and the everglades in particular) are fantastic.

There are quite a few that were new to me and I never expected Balds to be down here. They're all over, locals call them glorified buzzards
