    Mineral Bottom Road Repairs

As many of you know the Mineral Bottom Road was washed out in a massive thunderstorm in August of 2010.

It looks like repair work is going very well. Hopefully the road will be back open before summer.

Today I heard that it was scheduled to be open March 28.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Thanks for the update! We were hoping to do the Stillwater stretch this May.

This would be GREAT NEWS. We have dates for a 3 night White Rim ride and I had sort of written it off as a no go this year. If it opens on the 28th, we're good to go!

Thanks for sharing this. I had been watching the NPS page but they haven't updated it since December so I was starting to think that the repairs were on hold.

Another heads up, there's going to be a permit system in place for all users, not just overnight, until the repairs are complete.

A fine is a tax for doing bad. A tax is a fine for doing well. I can totally see this turning into another way to squeeze our wallets.
