Ok, so a friend has a 3mm farmer john and 2 mm jacket that might fit me. My gut feel is that water is always going to go in at the bottom of the jacket if you're actually swimming, raising your arms, etc and you'll freeze. But maybe not. Opinions?

I'm not fond of them myself, but your harness can hold the bottom of the jacket closed. So might be OK. Tom
