You know, I had heard about trying this trick before, but didn't believe it. I scratched my fork tube and buffed most of it out, but it leaked a little. The leak got worse recently, so i tried the card trick. Rode 3 hard hours at 5 mile and guess what? That's right, dry as a bone!!! First off, I will never pay someone to replace a seal again (you're right, they are a piece of cake) since I watched a Rocky Mtn ATV video online that explains how to do it. Secondly, I will never assume the seal is bad until I try the card trick. Can you imagine how many seals have been replaced that aren't bad?!! Good call, and thanks for driving this point home. It saved me a @$250.00 fork tube and the seal replacement.
I just dropped by to see what condition my condition is in.

I was the same way. I paid for my seals to be done then learned how to do it myself. Then heard about the card trick. I haven't done seal replacement since. I do the card trick now and the leak always stop.
Glad to hear it worked.beefcake. BEEFCAKE!
