Love, Bombshells, Heartbreak and Mount Shasta

This trip report is the summary of a Mount Shasta Trip which took place between August 11 and 16 2010. My wife Kimberly and I ended up on this trip from what I would consider to be unusual circumstances. Little did we know that the beginnings of this trip would shake us to the core and would change our lives forever.

In contrast to other trip reports, this story is as much about what happened before and after the mountain as what happened on the mountain itself. I have intentionally waited until Valentine

Thanks for sharing that Scott. What a touching and uplifting story. Now I know where the photo you posted in "Where is it" (that I identified) came from. I'm sorry to hear that you wife has to curtail some of her adventures but it's clear that you guys are lucky in many other ways.

I also did a guided trip up Hotlum Bollam as a ski mountaineering trip, but we failed to summit due to weather and time constraints. That whole side is really fun to ski! Finally summited the West Face and skied down that, boy is it steep!

Incredible Scott, your TR is great as usual but the story behind the Tr is awesome.
I wish you and Kim the very best.
